DOBA Business School is a pioneer in virtual mobility in Slovenia. We have been implementing it since 2005. At the time, we prepared the first pilot project with three other higher education institutions from the Czech Republic, Finland, and Lithuania.
Virtual mobility is an alternative for gaining international learning experiences for all who are unable to engage in physical mobility programmes such as Erasmus for social, financial, and other reasons. Virtual mobility is becoming an increasingly important factor in achieving the European Commission’s objective of increasing student mobility.
Live your life to the fullest
“I bought my ticket for Tenerife three months earlier. Everything was ready: ticket, suitcases, documents. There was some fear of the unknown but I didn’t really have that feeling of leaving alone to go somewhere in the middle of the sea among people I don’t know.” Anja Žvirc spent her student exchange in Tenerife.
I returned more confident
“It’s been three months since my practical training in Malta. Thinking back today about the accommodation and starting work in a previously completely unknown country, I can only smile and proudly say that I made it. I didn’t just complete my practical training but I also made it at the personal level. I lost the fear that was present when starting this new way of life.” Alenka Gosnik spent her student exchange in Malta.
Is there something more for me out there?
“So far, I have learned that the best experiences and adventures in life happen when we overcome our fear and take a leap into the unknown. I have to admit that the fear of the unknown has often caused me to let numerous new experiences and adventures slip through my fingers.” Nastja Vrhnjak spent her student exchange in the Canary Islands.
