On Saturday, diplomas were conferred in Maribor on the twelfth generation of bachelor students, i.e. on 192 graduates from Slovenia, 69 graduates from Croatia, and 14 graduates from Serbia. We also conferred diplomas on the ninth generation of master’s students, i.e. 43 from Slovenia, 22 from Croatia, and 6 from Serbia.
“It is important to have goals in life and to go on journeys to realise them. There is a popular saying that the difference between a successful person and others is a STEP. The successful person takes it, others do not. And you, our dear graduates of bachelor and master’s programmes, and there have been many of you, have taken this step and enrolled in our school full of expectations. Your studies were filled with challenges that you successfully overcame. The majority of you are employed and you have studied while taking care of your family and doing your job.
Dear graduates of bachelor and master’s programmes, an important part of your path is coming to an end today. Your success is also our success and you will be the ones to take the picture of the qualifications of our graduates of bachelor and master’s programmes into the national and international environment. However, we cannot delude ourselves that the completion of studies means the end of learning or education. The world of the future will need modern managerial knowledge, also for the digital transformation, which is much more than just a trend. It is becoming an essential part of competitiveness of companies’ business models. We will have to be able to adapt on time to the new ways of working in all fields.” From the speech of the Director.
