Traditional DOBA Charity Campaign Concluded

The Four Seasons of Solidarity is a project that runs at DOBA all year round. During the year, we have helped the Maribor Friends of Youth Association, the Maribor Animal Shelter, we have contributed to the Botrstvo (Sponsorship in Slovenia) project, the non-profit Zavod Pit association, the Zavod MARS cultural association, the UP-ornik charity organisation, etc. This December, we again organised our traditional charity campaign and tried to help children in need.

This year, our goal was to help bring smiles to the faces of children from the Centre for Mothers in Need and the children included in the programmes of the Counselling Centre for Violence and Abuse Victims in Maribor. Throughout December, the large chest in the school hall was filled with new toys and school supplies, which we delivered to the children before the start of the holidays. DOBA also prepared a surprise for the mothers.

We wish to thank all students, graduates, online tutors, teachers, employees, and friends of DOBA who sent or brought us packages!

Before the start of the Christmas holidays, we handed over the presents to Mirjana Drofenik, Head of the Centre for Mothers in Need, and Lea Perko Čuš, representative of the Centre for Violence and Abuse Victims in Maribor.

We believe that we have again made at least a small contribution to preserving joy and optimism in children’s eyes.
