Project BE WELL - Positive psychology interventions to strengthen high school students' well-being and mental health

The aim of this project is to educate and train secondary school teachers and school counsellors in the use of positive psychological interventions in order to reduce the risk of mental health disorders and enhance the well-being of secondary school students, especially students from socially disadvantaged environments.

In the context of the project, partners will develop protective mechanisms for secondary school students (using positive psychological interventions) to help them cope more effectively with psychosocial distress and to reduce the risk of mental health disorders and enhance well-being. The project will empower secondary school teachers and school counsellors to enhance their own well-being and mental health through the acquired knowledge and skills in the field of positive psychological interventions.

Objectives:

  1. To educate and train secondary school teachers and school counsellors in the use of positive psychological interventions in order to reduce the risk of mental health disorders and enhance the well-being of secondary school students, especially students from socially and economically disadvantaged environments.
  2. To develop protective mechanisms in students (using positive psychological interventions), especially students from socially and economically disadvantaged environments, to help them cope more effectively with psychosocial distress and to reduce the risk of mental health disorders and enhance their well-being.
  3. To empower secondary school teachers and school counsellors to use the acquired knowledge and skills in the field of positive psychological interventions to enhance their own well-being and mental health.
