As part of Erasmus + KA220-HED – Cooperation partnerships in higher education, DOBA Business School is involved in the three-year Game4Change – Playful Learning in Next Generation Entrepreneurship (G4C:NGE) project, which began on 1 October 2022 and will run until 30 September 2025.
The lead partner of the project is the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, and, in addition to DOBA Business School, the project involves another partner institution from Germany and institutions from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland, as well as Businet, a global network of higher education institutions based in Belgium.
The project focuses on the use of games in education in an economic/business context from different perspectives. The motivation behind the project is twofold: on the one hand, we will develop the potential for gamification in the field of development of business through demonstrations and a pilot implementation of the Next Generation Entrepreneurship (NGE) course with students and, on the other hand, we will guide and train teachers to be ready for games, given that corporate gamification is a new methodology that requires a specific mindset in order to be able to use game-based formats to transfer knowledge to students.
To ensure this, the project will allow us to prepare the methodology, guidelines and qualifications for teachers using gamification in business education. Teachers thus become agents of change in the game, as they integrate the new methods into their teaching, making their potential accessible to students. The project thus bridges the gap between the business world and education, bringing together institutions that can address different aspects of entrepreneurship, business education and/or gamification. In this way, the project pursues an integrated approach that could not be achieved by a single institution.
