In the category of Economist of the Year, she was nominated alongside Marko Drobnič, President of the Management Board of Talum Kidričevo, and Franjo Bobinac, President of the Management Board of Gorenje.

Explanation of the jury:
Jasna Dominko Baloh is the Director and owner of the DOBA Business Group which comprises the vocational college, Language Centre, Independent Learning Centre, and Knowledge Exchange Centre. She is the founder of the only Slovene higher education model of online learning which has received two international accreditations. She has received the highest national award of the Republic of Slovenia in the field of education for successful educational, innovative, and organisational work in adult education and the award of the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education for her efforts in the development of quality in adult education. Her work is characterised by a clear vision, energy, empathy, optimism, and a focus on objectives, while all along being aware that a good work climate is the key to the success of every organisation. All this gives tangible results, as 35 employees generate approximately EUR 1.3 million of annual revenue.

Večer conferred its Person of the Year of the Štajerska Region award for the third consecutive year. The ceremony was held yesterday at the Casino Hall of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor.
