About the speaker:

Violeta Bulc, dr. hc. is a visionary leader and the founder and curator of the Ecocivilisation movement. Under her dynamic leadership, this movement has grown into a global community in less than four years, now present in 46 countries and connecting more than 2,500 active individuals from various fields who collaborate to shape our collective future. She is a desired lecturer around the world and a visiting professor at various Universities.

Her career is diverse and multi-layered, encompassing significant roles such as European Commissioner for Transport, where she led transformative initiatives across the EU transport sector. She also served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Cohesion and Development, playing a crucial role in policy development and national growth.

Violeta's entrepreneurial spirit is evident from her 14-year tenure as a successful entrepreneur, during which she founded and led innovative ventures. Prior to this, she spent five years as a director in the telecommunications industry, managing operations and strategic initiatives. Her career began as an engineer and IT specialist, accumulating extensive experience in computing and informatics both domestically and internationally.

She is the recipient of numerous national awards for her work in innovation and strategic business project development. As an author, she penned the business bestseller Rhythms of Business Evolution and globally recognised book on community and movement leadership “The Magic Of Contribution” and contributed as a co-author to various esteemed books and publications. Her insights and contributions extend into the public domain through her regular publications on topics of global significance.

Violeta's leadership is further demonstrated through her roles in various professional and supervisory boards. She serves as Deputy Vice President of the Europe Asia Center, facilitating cross-continental collaborations. Additionally, she is the President of the Supervisory Board of Marina Portorož and a Board Member of the Social Systems Lab, where she contributes to innovative solutions in social systems.

Her diverse experience is enriched by her studies at the Shamanic Academy and the Academy of Martial Arts, allowing her to approach challenges with a holistic and multidisciplinary perspective. Violeta describes herself as a traveler through space and time, driven by curiosity and a passion for dynamic emerging systems based on love, compassion and cross-cultural collaboration.

Topic: Encouraging innovation and creativity in organizations

Innovation is essential for any organization to navigate a constantly changing environment, build resilience, and reshape its corporate culture to embrace sustainable development at all levels. In today’s VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) world, mass innovation is a crucial yet often overlooked factor for those aiming to achieve long-term success in corporate endeavors. Encouraging innovation and creativity requires cultivating an environment that embraces risk-taking, promotes diverse thinking, and supports continuous improvement. By integrating these elements, organizations can create a fertile ground for creativity and innovation to thrive, ultimately leading to sustained growth and success. In my lecture I will present some innovative models for developing innovation corporate culture as well as share my hans-on experiences on innovation from various organisational structures.
